Recycle series

This one-of-a-kind artist’s book, 6.75″ x 4″ closed) uses a single stitch, three hole binding with pages in varying sizes. Several materials are re-used and adapted as the foundation: an pamphlet of Peer Gynt found in a used book store written in German with original cost of 50 pfennig; antique wallpaper that was discovered under plaster walls dating around 1901, and discarded wooden shims from a construction site. Artworks includes pencil drawings, calligraphy, woodcuts, with some hand coloring, and collage technique. This piece was included in the exhibition Small Is the New Big Exhibition (Juried) at the Rene Soto Gallery in Norwalk, Connecticut, 2020.
