My love of the European robin is linked directly to my favorite children’s book, The Secret Garden. Upon reading this classic, I discovered not only the difference between the American Robin and the European Robin, but my own passion for birds.

This limited edition (5 prints approx. 8″ x11″) combines three distinct images into one, adding hand coloring to each after printing. Work is printed using an inkjet HPC4400 printer on handmade paper from a cotton blend fiber. Original imagery rendered in watercolor and pencil, and calligraphic lines using a brush.

This piece was reproduced in Beyond Words Literary Magazine, Issue 1, March 2020 and a variation of it in MASHUP Exhibition at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center (Maryland 2023).
