Artist’s book
This unique artist’s book, approx. 10.5″ x 5″ uses a simple, single stitch binding. The verse is inspired by motherhood and the hours spent reading Dr. Seuss picture books to my children. Artwork, done on linen fabric, is a combination of pastel and color pencil. Imagery is hand drawn and reflective of the larger shapes seen in the Dr. Seuss books. Machine sewing with words written in calligraphy adds line and dimension. The calligraphic poem written to Dr. Seuss are the end papers.
